This software is a delight, with or without that feature. Long story short, after I realized I loved this program, I emailed the developer about the missing feature that had inspired my hopes for its purchase, and within 24 hours he added it!! Amazing. Easy to turn off auto appearance and pop up with a shortcut using programs like Better Touch Tool, which I've done. If you're a power user, this utility seems like it belongs in your toolbelt. It just expands your capabilities when working with text and it's super customizable and feature rich. I quickly found however, that this program is very handy for many text situations, like sharing an article link, or performing a quick google or twitter search of highlighted text. I had a good feeling about this, but realized it was missing that feature. I normally check more carefully before buying, but I had been searching around looking for Apple Scripts and other programs to make this text transformation easier than manually performing it or using a program I don't prefer.
So, I bought this on a whim because I prefer Apple Pages and noticed one feature it doesn't have is Sentence Caes like Microsoft Word and LibreOffice, and I figured this feature would be included. Send a snippet to a translation website, or add a task to your favourite to-do app. You can transform the text from lowercase to capitals, or sort the selected lines alphabetically. Select a URL, and PopClip lets you open it, or shorten it, or add it to your reading list. Select a misspelled word, and PopClip offers corrections.
